Edwin has no known grave but is remembered on the Arras Memorial. He was the brother of Pte David Newsome 200144, 6th Battalion Black Watch who was killed in action 18.10.1918 and Pte William Menzies Newsome, 30970, 2nd Battalion Royal Scots, who was killed in action 13.11.1916.
