Alex Ramsay Royal Scots Fusiliers
Second-Lieut. Alex. Ramsay, Royal Scots Fusiliers, who was posted as missing on 28th March, and is now reported killed on that date, was the second son of Mr Alex. Ramsay, house factor, Lynedoch, Lochee. Second-Lieut. Ramsay, who was a former pupil of Dundee High School, and a graduate of St Andrews with honours in English, held an appointment as English master in Ayr Academy when war broke out. He enlisted in the Royal Scots Fusiliers, and before receiving his commission fought with his battalion in Gallipoli, and was wounded. He had not been very long in France before he met his death.
