More about James Ritchie
James Ritchie 6745 Black Watch
Information has been received by Mr Robert Ritchie, 33 Peddie Street, that his eldest son, Private James Ritchie, Black Watch, has died of wounds. Private Ritchie, who was nearly 41 years of age, came through the South African Campaign, and was subsequently in India for about nine years. He was employed in a Dundee Mill when war broke out, and he at once rejoined the colours. He had been at the front for nearly two years.
