DUNDEE LAD KILLED IN ACTION.
Private Forgan A. Simond, of the Seaforth Highlanders, who was killed in action on 22d September was the eldest son of Mr Alex. L. Simond, Dunara, Downfield, Dundee. Private Simond had just passed his nineteenth birthday and was a promising young man.
He was educated at Morgan Academy and was called up in February last. After five months in the training reserve he volunteered for active service and had been in France only nine weeks.
