Alexander Reid Tait   S/8630   Black Watch

The news that Private Reid Tait of the 2d Black Watch, has been killed in action is contained in an official intimation from the War Office.  Private Tait was a miner in Fifeshire, and went to America, where he worked for a few years. On the outbreak of war, he returned home to re join the army, in which he served for some time previous to his leaving this country.
