More about William Ramsay Bruce

  1. R. Bruce   Royal Engineers

DUNDEE SERGEANT WOUNDED.

Mr Archibald Bruce, 79 Sandeman Street, Dundee, has received information that his son, Sergeant W. R. Bruce, Royal Engineers, has been wounded on the right knee.  He was out with a working party, and had just marked out a new trench when the enemy spotted them, and Bruce was hit by a bullet.  He joined the army at the outbreak of the war.  Previously he was leading draughtsman with Messrs Belfour, Beattie, & Co., London.
