More about William Albert Robertson

William Albert Robertson who was a Colonel in the RAMC (Medical Officer) and also a CBE, MC, TD and was also a Scottish Rugby Union International on the  first visit to South Africa.  He was in both world wars and was captured Poland in May 1940 and died while a POW in 1942.  He stated on the records that he was born in Dundee on 6 Sep 1885.  The family went to Mexico where William’s father was a Cotton Spinning Manager. Mexican birth certs confirm William was born in Mexico on 6 Sep 1885! The family did come back to Dundee in 1891.
