William Doig   57527   King’s Liverpool Regiment

Mr John L. Doig, Marrbank, Newport, has received intimation from the War Office that his son, Corporal William Doig, 18th King’s Liverpool Regiment, is now presumed to have died or been killed on or about March 22, 1918, the date on which he was previously reported missing.  Corporal Doig enlisted in December, 1915, and was sent out to France in December, 1916.  Before enlisting he was employed in the office of Messrs Henry Boase & Co., Wellfield Works, Dundee.  He was 21 years of age.
