More about William George Robb

William George Robb   Black Watch

SERGEANT OF THE “FOURTH” WOUNDED.

Mr James Robb, 4 Forester Street, Dundee, yesterday received information from his son, Sergeant W. G. Robb, of the 4th Black Watch, that he was lying in hospital at Oxford.  He was suffering from a gunshot wound in the thigh. And at the time of writing the bullet had been extracted.  Serg. Robb, who is 28 years of age, was employed as a cabinetmaker with Messrs Richard Buist & sons, Commercial Street.  He is a well-known athlete, having carried off several prizes for running.  Other two brothers are also serving King and country.  Thomson, who is in the Mechanical Transport Section, is at the front, while brother David is an artificer in the navy.
