DEATH OF DUNDEE SOLDIER
WHO ENLISTED WHEN ONLY 15 YEARS OF AGE.
The death has taken place in the Military Hospital, Limerick, from heart trouble, of Private W. H. Dargie, 2d H.L.I., a young Dundee soldier who answered the call to arms when only fifteen years of age.
Private Dargie, who is a son of Mr W. H. Dargie, 36 Cotton Road, Dundee, enlisted in 1915, and went to France the following year. He served for a year in the trenches prior to being returned to this country through being under age for service abroad.
Demobilised in February last year, Private Dargie re-enlisted in May, and was stationed at Limerick at the time of his death.
