This is Dundee's story of those that served in the First World War, and of the people left at home
You’re no brother of mine!
John got news that his brother Charlie was home convalescing after being injured in battle at Aubers Ridge. John went to see him believing Charlie might be willing to hear his opinions on the war. John was now an active member of the ILP and the No-Conscription Fellowship. To John’s dismay Charlie was not impressed and in the end asked for John to be escorted out. John left close to tears and Charlie screamed after him – “you’re no brother of mine!”
