This is Dundee's story of those that served in the First World War, and of the people left at home
Word from Charlie McTaggart
By August 1915 Martin was bored and frustrated as he and the rest of the Warspite crew lay in isolation at Scapa. So it was a welcome distraction to receive a letter from his friend Charlie. Charlie’s news of being wounded and nearly loosing his arm brought it home to Martin how the war was stripping people of family and friends.
